Lots to do.

        Good morning people,I am sat here at the kitchen table like I have nothing to do which is so not true.Eldest grandson Billy has being staying with us for a few days only 5 as he reminded me this morning when I was getting him ready for school and reminding him that he was to go home on the little bus at home time,so as you can imagine there is toys in every nook, pencils and drawing books piled high on his little desk and more teddies in the bed than bedding,it soon goes away tho until next week when the little ones come to stay.I have done my washing but have a huge pile of ironing to do and beds to change today,the weather is dreadful hail,snow and rain one after the other so it definitely is a day for the house work.
        I went to slimming world yesterday and was dissapointed to see I had put on half a pound,I know where it has come from I have been having milkey coffees this week so no more of them,this girl is gonna loose this week !! Well the house aint gonna tidy its self so off I go,or do I have another coffee ?NO you dont you get on!

Sunshine.

               What a lovely way to start a new year a beautiful sunshine and blue sky,dare I hope that this is the beginning of truly wonderful weather to come!!The only downside of sunshine is that as it shines through the windows it shows how dirty they are and shines straight on the dust in the house and makes me feel very guilty that I have neglected my house over the holidays.
     I am not going to go into all the details here on my blog but I have had the saddest Christmas that I have ever had,I could just not bring myself to show you any of my lead up to Christmas but now that it is over and the new year is here I'm trying to pull myself together and look forward to this been my year.I have said it all before but this year I am going to change the way I do things concentrate on the people who have stood by me through the last few weeks of my life who I really could not have done without.My hubby is to see the surgeon again this month and I'm just keeping fingers toes and anything else crossed that his health is going to improve.I'm going to start slimming world AGAIN! next tuesday my clothes are very uncomfortable the only thing I feel comfey in is my PJ's and dressing gown and I just cannot go shopping in them,Can I?? No Jill you cannot!!!
    My decs are coming down tomorrow and I'm going to have a good clean and get myself back into my routine I do have to have one to keep me on track with everything I love to keep my house clean and my little garden tidy and over the last few weeks they have suffered so back to it,I probably sound like a real bore loving house work but I really do get a buzz out of it.
    Now I'm going to go and take some of the cards down and do a bit of cleaning in my kitchen whilst preparing dinner for our meal tonight.I do hope you are all well and happy and looking forward to your new year as I am.Enjoy the rest of your day and evening and this lovely sunshine Oh! COLD AND DULL.

        Brrrrr its cold and dull here in North Yorkshire today I'm stopping in to stay warm,Iv done my housework for today more could be done but my excuse for not dusting is its Halloween and ya gotta have dust and cobwebs about for it.My house is tidy and Iv cleaned the bathroom and kitchen the important rooms,hearth is clean and sitting room hoovered so that's it for today I made a veg soup yesterday whilst cooking the Sunday roast so that is just getting warmed up now for our lunch then tonight we are having homemade chicken Kiev's,potatoes and cauli already just to put in the oven later.I'm not always this organised but I just wanted a afternoon sewing somethings I have started for  Christmas,I have finished a small quilt that I started last year and didn't have time to finish and now I am making a table runner for the kitchen and I have a advent quilt hanging that I want to do as well so this is why I need to organise myself a bit better than usual. The fire is burning away nicley as I post this to you Im going to see if there is a nice film on we can watch,hubby is quite happy to watch a film as long its not one that is too girly.Hubby is doing better than he was he is getting around the house a bit better now he has his appointment with the surgen next week so we will see if there is any treatment he can have to help him.

On my own.

        Oh I have a few hours on my own today hubby has taken Maria to collect a new car,not new but new to Maria,so I have turned the music up,the first load of washing is in, kitchen cleaned,sitting room cleaned, bathroom cleaned now just have beds to change and bedrooms to clean.Don't you find that when you are on your own jobs in the house don't take quite so long and its quite enjoyable? 
Maybe I'm sad but I get a buzz out of doing the housework and seeing it all fresh and clean and the washing on the line.When the children where little I used to sit and watch the washing on the line blowing away while I sat and fed them,I used terry nappies because I loved to see them blowing all fluffy white on the line,I some times think I have a screw loose but that's just me!!!
   Well that's coffee break over with and the washer has stopped so off I go to peg it out,what are you doing this beautiful morning,pegging out?lol

C is for a Challenge.

This morning as I was sat eating my Cereals for breakfast I was wondering what I could do for ABC Wednesday,I had not planned anything so it was going to be a bit of a Challenge for me.So as I pottered on putting the washing in and Cleaning the Coal fire out I thought why not see how many Chores I did and items I could find during my day beginning with C. After having Coffee I went to the village shop which is at the other side of the train Crossing ,it is Called the Coop,I should of taken my Camera to show you where I went.I bought a Card to be posted for a friends birthday,a pkt of Chocolate biscuits and some Cheese.

    I Cleaned my sitting room one item that  was dusted was the Chandelier which hangs from the Ceiling and has some Crystals hanging from it. Once I had finished the room looked all Comfortable and Cosy.

     This little dish has some of my Crystals in it, the orange on is a Carnelian .

    After lunch I spent a Couple of hours at my sewing table finishing off some Cushions I have been making.

        These are the finished ones many more to finish yet,Im loving all these Colours.

     I had a dust and hover around our bedroom and lots of C's Caught my eye.On this Chest of draws is a Cotton Cloth with a Collection of my China,a Cross stitch picture, a Cross which holds a Candle.

Also there is a Child's rocking Chair with 3 little Cushions on.

     This Cross trainer is in our room,I don't use it as often as I should but my 3 grand Children love to use it,bless them they are Clocking the miles up for grandma.

           Came aCross this book one of my favourite foot ballers Cantona,I know he isn't everybody Cup of tea but he has Collected quite a few Cups for the Clubs he has played for.

                     This Cross stitch is one I did a few years ago,I love the words they mean so much.

       This rocking Chair I have had since I was a teenager, it has my grandmas Crochet blanket and some Cushions on it.

             5 of my favourite Cd's,one is Eric Clapton and another is Cat Stevens.

                            These are my Chill out Cd's.

                This little Cupboard was bought at a Car boot sale,love the China Cups on top.

                The Clock that lives in the Kitchen above the Cooker.

               As I was setting the table for our evening meal I placed the Cutlery on the table Cloth.

                 Drained the pasta in the Colander.

      Because I am Counting the Calories at the moment I have to keep the Crisps tucked away out of sight in a Cupboard,my favourite flavour are Cheese and onion.

           The only Cheese I try to Consume is the laughing Cow Cheese at the moment,light and Creamy.

          I have Changed the Calender ready for morning.

              As I put some more Coal on the fire I Caught sight of a Candle I had lit earlier beside my little Cauldron,

                      and a Cheeky pussy Cat Patchouli Curled up Cosy keeping warm.

                    Then as I stood up I noticed I am wearing my silver Celtic Cross which is on a silver Chain.
         Phew that was a Challenge,all those C's.Now I am Curious to see what your C's are so I will sign off for now and go and have a look.You all take Care of yourselves and keep warm,bye for now Love Jill xx

My Monday.

Started my day with a bit of sewing,this is my new machine.

I love these box's.

After my sewing I had to do the ironing nearly all hubby and son stuff nothing exciting.

Then at 4pm I took my camera and went for a breath of fresh air before dark.
